Our Union is proud to represent more than 45 dedicated professionals — including front-line firefighters, 911 dispatchers, fire prevention officers, public educators, and fire service mechanics — all working together to protect the citizens of Campbell River. Each of our members brings skill, courage, and compassion to their role in serving this community, and I am proud to stand beside them in this important work.

As president of Local 1668, my mandate is clear: to support the health, safety, and well-being of our members while advocating for the highest standards of emergency service for our community. Whether we’re responding to emergencies, educating the public, or working collaboratively with civic leaders, our focus remains the same — to ensure Campbell River remains a safe, resilient, and thriving place to live.

Our mission reflects our deep commitment to both our membership and the community we serve. Through strong representation, community engagement, and progressive leadership, we work to protect the people who protect you. Our community spirit and engagement extend beyond the fire hall. Off-duty, our members are actively involved in fundraising, charitable campaigns, and community-building events that support local families and national organizations alike. Whether it's raising money for the BC Fire Fighters Burn Fund, fundraising for various local charities such as Cameryn's Cause, or supporting school and youth outreach programs, our union is proud to give back to the community we serve — not just in times of crisis, but every day.
